Silestone – the leader in quartz surfaces for kitchens and bathrooms

Silestone has become the perfect option for kitchen and bathroom benchtops over and above other traditional materials such as granite or natural stone.

Amongst the features responsible for this popularity are that Silestone quartz benchtops present extreme durability in kitchen and bathroom spaces where traffic and daily use is high, and also the endless colours possibilities that are offered with this surface.

Silestone is a compound made up of 90% natural quartz, which make it extraordinarily hard and resilient. It is an excellent surface for kitchen benchtops, bathrooms, floors and wall cladding using the minimum number of joints.

Silestone is Natural Quartz created for kitchens and bathrooms decoration from a treatment that offers beauty and a wide range of colours, extraordinary textures and outstanding properties.

Through superior strength, incredible beauty, unlimited versatility, superb reliability, and an unparalleled distribution network, Silestone is rapidly becoming the choice for discerning consumers.

Natural Beauty
Silestone offers a sophisticated elegance and timeless beauty. The natural quartz in Silestone delivers distinctive depth, brilliant clarity, glimmering radiance and a cool, solid feel unique to natural stone.
Versatility
Silestone can be used in virtually any indoor surfacing application in kitchens, bathrooms and floors, including: countertops, island tops, vanities, tub and shower surrounds, backsplashes, walls, wet bars, tabletops, desktops, fireplace surrounds and more.
Scratch-Resistance
The quartz in Silestone makes it naturally scratch-resistant. Only three other natural minerals – diamond, sapphire and topaz – are harder than quartz. Quartz is a seven on Mohs Hardness Scale (diamond is a 10).
Stain-Resistance
Silestone is non-porous and therefore it is highly resistant to stains from coffee, wine, lemon juice, olive oil, vinegar, makeup, and many other common household products.
Scorch-Resistance
Silestone is scorch-resistant. It will withstand limited exposure to heat without burning or scorching. However do not place these items directly on any countertop. Always use trivets when placing hot items on any natural stone or quartz surface to avoid thermal shock.
Strength
Silestone® has four times the flexural strength of granite, making it less susceptible to chipping and cracking during transportation and installation.
Colors and Edges
Silestone is available in a wide array of dazzling colors, from conservative neutral hues to daring bright colors, ensuring that there is a Silestone color to suit most any style or taste. Silestone delivers uniformity and consistency that allows for virtually unlimited edge designs.
Pro + Protection ® and Silestone
Pro + Antimicrobial Protection ® is infused into 100% of Silestone natural quartz countertops to help prevent the growth of stain causing bacteria. Pro + protection is not designed to replace normal cleaning practices, but it does provide Silestone buyers with cleanliness protection and peace of mind that will last the lifetime of their countertops.
What benefit do I get from Silestone® with antimicrobial protection?

Pro + protection continuously fights the growth of microbes that can cause stains and odors. Pro + protection makes your Silestone countertops easier to clean and keeps them cleaner between cleanings.

Why is Pro + Protection effective?

Pro + Antimicrobial Protection is effective against most common bacteria, yeasts, molds and fungi that cause stains and odors. Pro + technology is not designed to protect users from disease-causing microorganisms.

Is Pro + Protection safe?

Pro + technology has undergone extensive independent laboratory testing. It is registered with the EPA for use in Silestone and has a long history of safe use.

How long does Pro + Antimicrobial Protection last in Silestone?

Pro + Protection is built-in during the manufacturing process – becoming part of the molecular structure of Silestone and will not wash off or wear away.

Can I get Pro + Protection put into Silestone if it is already installed in my home?

No. Pro + Protection can only be integrated into the product during the manufacturing process.

Do I still have to clean my Silestone countertop?

Yes. Pro + Protection inhibits growth of bacteria, but cannot replace the need for good and regular hygiene practices.

Does any other countertop, vanity top or other quartz surface contain Pro + Protection?

No. Silestone® has an exclusive agreement with Pro + International and is the ONLY quartz surface in the world to offer antimicrobial protection.
